hijiji
Will be in Ubon out in the rice fields and need to be able to connect to a Windows VPN in Australia via EDGE/GPRS. Previously used 12Call with GPRS out there (no VPN that time) and it was as slow as a wet week, had to disable images on the browser. Now I need to be able to connect to a VPN so just wondering if I should get an EDGE phone. Any experiences? Thanks.
Magoomba
I know my reply may be a little late, but in Burriram I use AIS Post-Paid and connect to the Company VPN in the USA and Singapore with no problems. Be sure to set your timeout to the maximum on the VPN settings, otherwise the connection will regularly drop.
monty
Should be no problem using Edge. Regularly connect to US based company VPN, no issues. It seems as long as ping times remain under 600-700 msec connection doesn't get dropped. Unlike before when I was using iPSTAR satellite internet. Virtually impossible to keep a VPN going...
