It is a safe place? It is on The Thai side or Myanmar side? Is anybody went there already? rfukata Posted August 19, 2009 Share Posted August 19, 2009 need to clear (local Thai Immigration) prior to crossing river at Chiang Saeng, upon arriving across the river - Burmese immigration require you to leave your passport with their agent until you depart. If I remember correctly, It may be a day trip. No need stay 2-3 days, nothing to do there are only 2 casinos. Majority of gamblers are Thai's, but some time there are Chinese Nationals who visit there from North via the Chiang Saeng River as there are ferries going to China from there.
