FBN
Would really appreciate some advice on this. A colleage is suffering from slow macular degeneration; a condition affecting the retina and causing patches of visual loss; especially centrally. This means fonts which are too small can't be read and characters too large break up. Are there any specific screens, software and other aids on offer? Daffy D
Don't know if this will help? In Windows - Start - Control Panel - Acessability Options. Here there are many options like high contrast screen display and audio help.

Tywais
In Windows - Start - Control Panel - Acessability Options. Also there is the screen magnifier. For browser font increase, hold the CTRL key down and press the +/- key to increase font size. Or, hold the CTRL down and move the scroll wheel on the mouse if it haves it. There is also within Windows text to speech conversion.
bangkokian
There's also the "magnifier option under "Accessibility"--Perhaps this is not really a solution.... This would be fine if websites such as the ThaiVIsa one did not fix the font size. In order to increase the text size you must go to tools/options/accessibility and check the box ignore text size in IE Edited October 17, 2009 by harrry
