Best Thai Sim Card Option

Featured Replies

Hello Guys,

We live in Thailand and currently have a couple of 1-2-call pay as you go sim cards but often have issues in recieving calls from overseas, in particular from the middle east. Connection issues, dropped calls etc.

Can anybody please advise as to a solution for a mobile phone sim with better internatinal call reliability, especially recieving calls.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum,

Thanks in advance.

There's only two other possibilities, namely True and Dtac.

However, I have AIS and never have had any issues in receiving calls. If I have issues it is most often because the caller is using one of those discount international dialing cards.

Easy to recognize, if they use those cards, either "private number", "unknown number" or a Thai number will show up on your display. If they use the normal phone network (expensive) the number they use will show up on your phone.

Thanks Monty,

Thats a valid point you make about the discount lines and definately has an effect on recieving calls. The calls we tend to have trouble with are mainly from large companies that are starting the call from their internal telephone systems and therefore adding another link to the chain, possibly feeding from there through to a discount style line.

We never experience any problems from Europe or Africa so maybe it's a middle east problem rather than Thai.

Check out rangeroamer. I use it for international calls and it works fine. No dropped calls that for sure. lol
