Buy Laptop Thailand Or Uk

I'm in the market for a high-end laptop and am visiting UK soon, any meaning tax refund at airport whichever country I buy in. Has anyone done the cost comparison research recently? My income currency is Aussie dollar which is going very well against the baht and sterling at the moment.

A couple of things to consider: If you want a Thai keyboard get a laptop here. If you buy 1 in the UK make sure the warranty covers you if you intend bringing it back to Thailand or Aus. Also consider the level of support you may or may not receive in Thailand on your warranty, best to buy a brand popular in Thailand like Acer or better HP. Have not had much experience with different brands/support in Thailand only that the support from Dell is crap in Thailand.

Also try to get one with Windows included in the price, not so easy here in Thailand

Beware not all offer international warranty, a recent survey showed Asus as having the lowest failure rate, also they do international warranty. You can buy quite a bit cheaper in Aussie than Thailand, don't know about UK prices but you should be able to search that. You can always plug in an external Thai keyboard if only need occasionally. The post xmas sales may work in your favour too.

Last week I saw a promotion for same notebook in Thailand, spec offer for processor / Ram / HD were much less & price the same as the one I got in Singapore.

Look at what is on offer in UK, you could be better off buying it there, no Thai keyboard through.

Buy a Apple Mac and purchase the AppleMac care trouble free anywhere in the world for 3 years and they are far better than PC's

If you are willing to set aside the money for a high end laptop... why try and save a few baht, dollars, macaroons by finding the cheapest place? As many have suggested, buy it where you spend most of your time. Local warranty often works best.
