aussiebob
the spouse visa application certainly asks for details of the accommodation you will be providing for your tilac when she arrives. However i will have to leave it to more knowledgable members to answer your predicament. Bob

It would appear that you do not have a housing problem, but a problem providing adequate documentation with regards to your current housing arrangements. Perhaps you could be a bit more specific with regards to what your current living arrangements are.

A lease agreement was not part of the required documentation. Such issues could easily be addressed in the declarations that you (and others) must swear and provide in the application. Remember that spouse visas are decided in Australia, not Thailand, and the assessment officers would be familiar with issues such as this.

OOps, that last statement may be in error, it was 4 years ago that we did the original application. But the earlier part would still be my advice. Get your declarations done in Aus. so that their content is sworn there, and that would hopefully cover any documentation of this nature you feel is missing. And you could include other evidence of your residence, such as utility bills. My stepson sponsored his wife 2 years ago. He lives with us, I didn't have to provide evidence, other than a declaration, that the accommodation is suitable.
gburns57au
You do not have to provide a lease agreement for the visa, so it shouldnt be a problem.
