No Impending Coup, Anupong Insists

This is so funny.

All this hot air about an imaginary coup, is it, isnt it, will it , wont it.

Democracy would be better served by turning attention back to the coup that actually did happen, the coup that removed the last democratically elected government, and allowed the set up of the current illegitimate, human rights abusing , corrupt , stinky administration.

Short memories some folk.

I really hope Jingthing doesn't see this.

the coup that removed the last democratically elected government

:)

No matter how many times it is said, that still won't make appointed caretaker-PM Thaksin "democratically elected", in September-2006. :D

So was Samak chopped liver then?

There is no logic to their arguments at all.

They can't even remember who their friends in power are/were

Only one name stands out as the godhead of democracy for this crew.

Clots arguments of sorts are doing just that,

they are congealed and blocking the veins that support life.

Stroke victims can make better but similarly disjointed and ill-conceived posts in all likely hood.

Your arguments are not working, call it a day and regroup.

Don't believe Anupong's words. The recent dispatched Army tanks roaming Bangkok streets, and press conferenced of key unit commanders to support him are clearly evidence they want to show what they can do and possibly will do to the elected government. That they are the real bosses in this country. They are angry and on the edge, because the gov. is incapable to suppress the red, making the bosses lose face, especially on Gen. Prem, and on Gen Surayudh. They won't accept civil gov. at the top, since there is always another institution they can look up to and use as an excuse for another coup.

UPDATE

PRO-THAKSIN RALLIES

Red shirts rally at military camps nationwide

The red shirts gathered at military barracks nationwide on Thursday to show their stance against a coup that only they say will happen.

The numbers at each site were reportedly small. They dispersed dispersing without any violence.

At the 4th Cavalry Regiment of the King's Guards in Bangkok, the red shirts submitted an anti-coup letter and presented flowers to soldiers.

The pro-Thaksin protesters in Songkhla, Surin, Lampang and Kanchanaburi launched similar moves as their comrades in the capital before dispersing peacefully.

In Kanchanaburi, the red shirts were not allowed to enter the military camp as Cobra Gold 2010, the annual joint military exercise with the US military joined by six countries, is taking place.

Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban in charge of security affairs said he had instructed army personnel to exercise restraint and tolerance to any provocation.

Suthep gave assurances that the government can definitely handle any disorder that might occur between this month and next month.

Meanwhile, Army chief Gen Anupong Paochinda reassured the public that there would not be any coup although some groups of people seem bent on creating conditions that they believed could lead to a military takeover.

Gen Anupong said that the rank and file of the army are well-disciplined and would definitely keep discipline and follow the government's instruction.
