eurasianthai
This is not really easy to choose a best picture. Beauty is the eye of the beholder. Fo the time being, I choose this one taken in Kanchanaburi But I guess more will come. What's yours?

eurasianthai
Just to add some salt to the discussion in between what is best, a photo taken with a Nikon or a photo taken with a Cnaon, two photos taken with a Nikon D90 in Ayuttaya Can't really say they're better or worse than the ones taken with the Canon

Kan Win
Your Best Picture Taken In Thailand Thailand as I see it Take your pick 'Farangrakthai' from over 2,000 of them. Hard to choose really so I will leave it up to you to do that. Have fun and enjoy the show should you click on the above. From silly photos to panoramic photo etc. from North, Central to West and a bit down South of Thailand. East not a shot as it is not to my liking. Ladyboys in Hua Hin taken with the Canon 450D and the kit lens 17-55mm. Edited February 2, 2010 by Farangrakthai
toptuan
Responding to post #14: Sorry for the omission. A simple Sony Cybershot DSC50. using automatic settings. No where near a professional camera. Just point, hit the shutter button and pray for a miracle. Once in a while it happens. This is at a local temple in Mahasarakham which educates young boys in the monkhood. Edited February 2, 2010 by toptuan

Kan Win
Very difficult ones to take. And very beautiful ones. I'm jealous Not really if you have Photomatix Pro 3 and then use Exposure Fusion, 3 shots or more in one photo. Fireworks, I take only one shot of each and then mix them about. This/these photo/s (six in all) where taken in 2006 using Panorama Maker 3.0 Sawadee

Stop fighting over my brilliant photography! By the way, two technical questions: 1) how did you get all that info. out of my picture? I know it's embedded somehow, but how can you pull that from a TV posting? 2) how can I post a picture without TV reducing the size, so the post looks like the other photos posted here? Is my 640 x 480 just too overwhelming for TV? Edited February 3, 2010 by toptuan

svenivan
1) how did you get all that info. out of my picture? I know it's embedded somehow, but how can you pull that from a TV posting? It is called EXIF-data. Most photosoftwares can show it to you. Try "Help" and then the searchfunction for EXIF. I like your photo of the novices. I have a couple of these Sony´s myself (R1 and V1) and I like them very much! Can take brilliant photos with the right person to hit the button! Edit: 2) how can I post a picture without TV reducing the size, so the post looks like the other photos posted here? Is my 640 x 480 just too overwhelming for TV? I like it when the photos are reduced. Then I can choose which photos I want to see in full size! Especially when there are a lot of photos in one thread and you seen all of them before except maybe the latest posted. Can take long time to get them all up! Some people here always post the photos without reduction, I don´t like! Edited February 4, 2010 by svenivan

eurasianthai
This one has been taken in Pattaya with the cheapest lens of Canon, the 50mm f1.8, about baht 3000. Allows you to take pictures at night without a flash. This lens is probably Canon best deal. Edited February 4, 2010 by Farangrakthai
katana
็Hi Farangrakthai, That lens looks interesting because the flash on my canon tends to spoil night-life shots. What ISO and shutter speed was that pic taken at?
eurasianthai
็Hi Farangrakthai,That lens looks interesting because the flash on my canon tends to spoil night-life shots. What ISO and shutter speed was that pic taken at? You need to go pretty high. On the canon 450D, 1600 ISO is the highest. So 1600 ISO, it was. And I kept the shutter speed close the minimum, 1.8 to 2.0 Edited February 4, 2010 by Farangrakthai
eurasianthai
Another one taken with high ISO and the same lens. Not as good as the previous one, I had to crop it too much...
