Since this morning Windows 7 Ultimate does not recognize my ACER S243HL (24') /new - as PnP monitor but as non PnP generic monitor.

It is not possible to the correct resolution.

Graphic card is GeForce 7600GT

If I try to install the original Acer driver a message appears "driver is up to date"

I have uninstalled/reinstalled Nvidia W7 drivers to no avail.

The monitor

Any clue W7 detect that monitor as PnP again?

add: system resore did not help

Dumb question but always worth asking:-

Have you powered everything down (and pulled the plugs)?

EDIT and checked the monitor connectors for bent / displaced pins.

EDIT 2 and tried the monitor on another PC (and tried another PnP monitor on this PC).
