June 20, 201016 yr As the header says what minimum speed is required to stream live tv ?? I have a slow connection of 1.2mb in the uk and that works fine.
June 20, 201016 yr It depends on the quality of the stream. A 1-Mbps connection should be able to handle TV streams with bit rates of up to 550K without constant buffering. To watch HD streams (1.3M or higher bit rate) requires at minimum, 2.5-Mbps connection. Having a fast connection however, doesn't necessarily mean smooth streaming as there are other factors involved (e.g. network congestion, ISP throttling, etc.) which can further limit streaming ability. This is based on my own personal experience. Your mileage may vary... Edited June 20, 201016 yr by Supernova
