The Foxit eSlick ships to Thailand.

Price: $199

Can anyone comment on what to expect from Thai customs?

20 to 40 percent depending how shipped (UPS or Fedex for sure, normal post maybe)

So $200 for last years technology instead of $190 or $150 for the very latest Kindle/Nook with 16 shade screen.

Why didn't you get the Kindle?

I didn't get the Kindle because of uncertainty over customs duty if I have it sent to Thailand. How about you?

Hi,

In addition to 21.00 for postage Amazon charges $50.17 for customs fee. This bring the total to $260.15.

US$260 is around 8,500 baht. Quite reasonable. But can we be sure that customs will accept that price. Is there any way of checking at this end?

I just paid $185 (6,500bht) for a Nook wi-fi.

Not arrived yet.

Where did you order it?

Because B&N doesn't accept order coming from Thailand.

PS: When I order my Sony Ebook reader (at that time Us$ 250) sent by UPS (60 $) and paid custom fee (700 Baht)

Tried to buy from B&N, but they wouldn't accept my UK credit card

Tried to buy from B&N, but they wouldn't accept my UK Paypal account

Tried to buy from B&N, they did accept my friends USA Paypal account payment, then put the order on HOLD.

(I begin to think B&N are monitoring IP addys)

Finally

Bought it through Amazon.com Marketplace with a UK credit card, the reseller charged $24 more than B&N but fair enough, I had it delivered to an address in the USA and someone is bringing it over for me.

The Marketplace seller was prepared to ship to Thailand but wanted $40 more postage, and I would have to risk customs.

Ipmart will also sell and ship to Thailand IPMART

That would cost about $230 using USPS with a risk of customs charges

Entropay Mastercard (plastic) or even the virtual visa might work. www.entropay.com
