What is general cost to replace a lost work permit (no complexed setup)?

I gave the lost police report to accountant and a few week later work permit is back and I've just a got a bill for around 5,500 baht. Is this normal?

Whats more annoying is the work permit expires tomorrow, but I needed to get it replaced in order to renew it?? Another 4.5k.

Thats a 10k wp renewal almost..

Are these typical fees? (Small 2million baht company)

A one year work permit costs 3,100 baht. (there is a 100 baht sur charge for the application itself)

RATE OF GOVERNMENT FEES FOR WORK PERMIT

1. 750 Baht = not longer than three months.

2. 1,500 Baht = longer than three months but does not exceed six months.

3. 3,000 Baht = longer than six months but does not exceed one year.

4. For a work permit which is longer than one year, the fee will be increased for the period exceeding one year at the rate shown in items 1,2 and 3 above.

Not sure how much a replacement is, something like 1,000 baht if my memory serves me well, but certainly not more than 3,100.
