im a 26 year old uk citizen who arrived in bangkok on a 60 day tourist visa at the start of june, which i extended by 30 days up until the end of august. i want to stay here to do a tefl course and then get a job, but im not sure about the rules and regulations concerning visas and visa runs.

am i allowed to do a visa run to laos/cambodia/wherever and just pick up a new visa from there? if so, where is the best place to go and which company would you recommend to book with? what type of visa will i get? do i have to remain outside thailand for a certain period before i can re-enter?

i apologise for my ignorance on the subject but i cant seem to find an answer to this, any help would be appreciated. cheers.

Two entry tourist visa from Vientiane which should cover almost six months with extension of 30 days for each entry. Requires one night in Vientiane and can easily be done on your own following the many posted reports here. Believe the normal Bangkok visa services that advertise in classified English papers also run full service if you wish.
