90/180 Rule

Featured Replies

For air travel in and out of Thailand, has the 90 days within 180 days limit on 30 day stamps been abolished. Basically can one now fly in and out of Thailand every 30 days and get a new 30 day stamp as long as one wants with no limitations as before? Thanks.

yes

Yes. Abolished a couple of years ago.

I dont think it has been abolished, where is your source/proof??

It has not been used since the change in visa exempt entry to 15 days by land in December 2008.

Here.

15 Day Entry.pdf

Interesting that I got back from my local immi office no more than an hour ago after collecting an annual extension, and there was an electronic 'ticker board' relating to this very subject.

It talked about the 15 day/ 30 day rule, followed by a very clear statement that the total of these exempt entries must not exceed 90 days in any 180 days.

Rayong immigration if anyone's interested.

Someone forgot to tell them. B)

Police order 778/2551:

The paragraaf relating to the 90/180 days rule was deleted from there. It is now a question of not being able to pinpoint a rule that says you can only have 90 days. Instead came the 15 days by land, 30 days by air rule.
