I need to ask a question for my friend

He's staying in LOS on a tourist visa in Udon Thani

He originally got a 60 day visa from his home country, then extended it at Udon immigration for 30 more days

Now he wants to stay longer. Can he travel to Laos, stay overnight and get another 60 days from the Thai embassy there?

The reason I ask is when I last traveled on a tourist visa and came in and out a few times the immigration officer was counting the days I'd stayed in the kingdom.

Is it true if you stay 90 days here then you have to leave for 90 days before you can return?

Thanks for your help

He can go to Vientiane in Laos and get a double entry visa.

They are free at the moment.

No problems with entering again with a valid visa.

Answer: No

He will have no problems getting a Tourist Visa from Vientienne.

He could even get a double entry if needed. Free of charge. :)
