GuestHouse
Does anyone know of a store that stocks Polar Heat Rate Monitors? - I need a new battery for my CS500 and don't want to order from overseas if they are available locally.
nontabury
A few years ago i saw them being sold in a shop in mbk,not sure if they still do,but might be worth looking around
phaethon
I have a vague recollection of seeing a few polars in the sports section of Paragon, about six months ago. Whether they actually sell the batteries is another question. Is it not some standard lithium battery you could pull out and hawk around the normal watch shops? JAS21
CS500, that is a bit top of the range. I have seen Polar in Ngam Wong Wan Mall, level 4 or 5, anyway the sports area. I have had a few Polars over the years, but have always replaced the watch battery myself. OK maybe not waterproof anymore but ok for cycling. Just use a 'watchmakers' screwdriver and remove the back...worked for me anyway... Identify the battery part number, or take the battery to the shops. Should be only 2-300 baht. I just got the near bottom of the range Polar model brought from the UK, about half the price of one here. OK for riding my stationary bike whilst watching TV. Bangkok of full of shops that sell a variety of batteries so you should be ok.
phaethon
According to the Polar website: http://www.polar.fi/en/products/accessories/battery_set_for_CS600_CS500_CS400 it's a CR2354 3V lithium coin cell. Shouldn't be too much of a challenge for an MBK watch shop.
SiamRose
Central department store at Chidlom changed the battery in my Polar HRM - I think it cost about 200 baht.
