Concidering having my missing tooth replaced (3 tooth bridge) in Bangkok. Have contacted both the Bangkok Dental Home and the Bangkok Dental Hospital. Bangkok Dental Hospital seems to offer more personal attention, anyway in replying to my inquires. However, there are a slug of dental shops coming up in my online searches and these were the only two I contacted.

Seems as though the $2,200.00 Cali procedure is about a grand in Thailand, $250.00 in Cebu and while in Saigon I had two estimates $250.00 and $750.00. You guessed it, I travel a lot so the savings could pay a good part of my next trip.

However, my teeth are important and I'm not into pain so there is more than money on the line. One of the reasons I am leaning toward Thailand, I think some of the medical available is first class.

Any first hand experiences on Bangkok Dental Home or Bangkok Dental Hospital or tips on having dental work done in Thailand. Thanks - Doug

Back in the UK now, when i was in Bangkok a month ago i had all my teeth replaced by a dentist in the MBK Centre, first class work and no pain at all, well impressed, had a lower denture one implant and 8 crowns, a lot cheaper than the UK and a lot better service, i am scared to death of dentists having been to some butchers, but this guy in the MBK Centre is first class, i will post his name and address soon.

Though there are a number of good places in Bangkok, between those two clinics I strongly suggest you'd be more comfortable at the Dental Hospital.

The Thai lady who recommended this clinic, use to work at the Dental Hospital as a Dental Nurse, the clinic i have used is the Dental Surgery Centre, No X5, 6th Floor, Mahboonkorn Centre, (MBK), Pratumwan, Bangkok, 10330, Tel No 0-2611 7018

Hope this helps.

I've been to Bangkok Dental Home to have laser tooth whitening done as they were, not sure if they still are, having a promotion on it. I thought that they did a good job there.

Found them on the Internet and their email response was pretty quick. The staff are friendly and the best thing is they speak good English. Their dental specialists are also very professional. Was reading their site and their specialists for treatments such as dental implants, braces are overseas graduates.

For some reason, they've received quite a lot of overseas patients. I was waiting for my turn in queue and most of the patients there were foreigners. I met this American lady who just flew in from the US, she worked in Iraq. She flew in for her vacation and wanted to get her full front smile done. A colleague of her's had recommended her there. I think she decide to have it done in the end.

My impression of the clinic is that it is clean and professional. Their prices are also very affordable compared to other clinics in Bangkok including those mentioned. Did my homework.

Thumbs up! :D

Also found out that certain clinics in Bangkok may use other light sources to do tooth whitening and passes them off as laser tooth whitening. So becareful when you out there!

:o
