Uk Vistor Visa Waiting Time And Success

Hey all,

The TGF just picked up her passport today. She got her visa so just wanted to say thanks for all the answered questions and support. Just in case anyone was woundering about turn around times the missus gave in and paid her fee tues 8th feb and picked it up today 15th feb so one week. As it probs takes half a day for the application to change hands the mbassy probably had it for four workings days.

Good to see a quick turnaround..................at the moment.

Hope she enjoys her stay, tell her the temperature is now sometimes into double figures!

Yet the official statistics state that 97% of visas are processed within 2 working days. (That's for "General Visit 6 months or less".)

So either the UK Border Agency statistics are a crock of lies. Actually, I can't think of an "or" for that sentence.

To be fair, those stats are for December and can't be compared in this way to an application submitted in February.

We'll have to wait another two months to see if you're right!
