inmysights
I've just received some docs from my Thai lawyer in winzip, which I attempted to unzip (extract to ...) and upon opening found the docs to be in 'computer script/illegible). How do I 'unzip' them into English language please? Bit important ... Thanks
howto
If the zip file was corrupted, it would not have extracted contents. Well, usually. You did not say - what type of document you are trying to open - what editor (and version) you are using. So I will guess we are dealing with a Word doc... Sounds like the document may have been created either in a lower or higher version than your editor is currently configured ''to support or can support''. Need to check the files properties... Right click on the file and select properties or open it with word and select properties from the menu. That is a start. You may have to install a 'converter'. In the event you are using a old version of Word, and the lawyer is using the latest... It would be best to send your file to someone whom has a more current version of the editor where they can open the file, then save it in a lesser version. then send it to you. For really fast solutions, you first need the doc's properties. Best of luck... Edited March 11, 2011 by howto
Laawman
Anything to do with a Thai language pack? Your lawyer obviously has a Thai version of Windows which can read/write the .doc.
