Internet crackdown a la Thaksin:

More than five million websites to be Blocked

"Inappropriate material"

So how many HUNDREDS of sites WERE blocked. Seems there was a lot more blocked during Mark's junta regime.....

There has been no talk of unblocking these websites, just talk of the "war room" to continue the practice.

I am not sure how many sites were blocked during Abhisit's government formed under democractic process. Why don't you let us know.

Also, please outline what a fantastic job you think Thaksin did for freedom of the press during the TRT years; you can certainly reference the raids on prominent newspapers, advertising bribes and raids on university researchers if you think it will help your case.

I have no illusions that there was probably lots of anti-monarch, pornographic and gambling related sites banned during the last 2 years.

I also remember mere social forums, some gay or bi-related, closed under Thaksin's regime.

And I am sure you protested that development. (During the junta rule all those bans was lifted from what I saw, and a new blacklist started...)
