XiningMAMA
Has anyone been to or does anyone know about this advertised "Lego Championship" going on at the Central Airport Plaza? Is it worth the drive from Sansai to go with my 9-year-old son?

realthaideal
Again Dave, wow ! And yeah, from what it says, today would have been the last of it. There's some old saying I'm about to garble about expat life here "It's the city where you hear what's happening after it's already happened." THanks to CityLife having their CityNow website up, there's a better chance to anticipate n plan for things, but still tons of stuff that isn't broadcast/advertised well n it just gets by anyway. We went by the stage on Saturday and there was lots of announcing going on but I didn't see anything in the way of Lego construction.
elektrified
I'm sorry I didn't know about it either. My kid loves playing with Lego. He would have enjoyed it.
Thailand
There were competitions going on most days for speed build on the clock and other forms of Lego assembly challenges. From about Thursday of last week I believe, many kids on half term.
smiling mantis
There was not only the competition, but a very large selection of Lego products available for purchase. On sale too, supposedly, but the only item I was interested in--LEGO Mindstorms NXT 2.0--was selling for ~18000B, or over twice what it would cost stateside.
