Pattaya Immigration arrests 46 illegal immigrants

PATTAYA: -- 46 illegal immigrants were caught by Pattaya Immigration officers in the early hours of Wednesday. Initially Police were called to the location by an informant who claimed an illegal gambling event was taking place. No evidence of gambling was seen, however officers spotted a number of people running away from the location and realized they were not Thai nationals. Eventually Immigration officers rounded-up the 46 individuals, a mixture of adults and children and took them to the Immigration Office in Jomtien. Investigations revealed claims that the illegal immigrants were paying 6,000 Baht each to avoid arrest. They claimed the money was being paid to an officer;

I wonder what made the think they were not Thai nationals ? the shaved heads, tatoo's, beer bellys and football shirts ? :lol:

I actually thought is was a Thai character trait to do a runner from the BiB in this sort of situation and crashing car's into people/immovable objects etc...:whistling:
