Surely you don't want to bring/ have one here, it's far to hot for them, as the other guy said, Alaska is a good place for them. If you really want them why not live there?

I knew a stupid Australian guy who bought a Husky here. Naturally, he ended up killing it due to its unsuitability for this environment.

Isn't that a little drastic? Or is there more to this story?

Killing your dog through neglect? Yeah I'd say that's drastic. I know a few Thais with Husky/Malamute type dogs. They keep them wet all the time. That's probably not appropriate either, They just don't belong here, same as the St. Bernards we so often see. I was a St. Bernard breeder once and absolutely love the breed. I would never even consider having one here.

Huskies do fine in the tropics. They just won;t grow as big.

Give it access to cool parts of the hosue, use a thinning comb to keep it's coat lean.

Never wet it, they will get hotter when they are wet. If you wash it dry it properly.
