BANGKOK, March 10 -- Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Saturday expressed her satisfaction with her visit to Japan during March 6-9 that the government could successfully revive Japanese investor confidence in the kingdom after last year's flood crisis.

Ms Yingluck returned to Thailand early Saturday morning and told reporters, before leaving to the northeastern province of Kalasin, that the Japan trip has achieved its goal of assuring Japanese investors with the government's flood prevention plan and rehabilitation measures.

She said the Thai government has received very good cooperation from the Japanese government and the latter has agreed to extend assistance to Thailand in the form of grants.

Moreover, the Japanese government would also help to raise the level of roads to protect industrial estates and parks from floods and provide technical assistance, said the premier.

Japanese investors who listened to the Thai government's flood prevention measures were satisfied with the government approach.

Meanwhile, discussions with the Japanese auto industry sector have concluded successfully, as automobile companies have affirmed to continue their investments in Thailand and use the country as their production base, expecting to invest more in Thailand. (MCOT online news)

""I have reaffirmed to the Japanese government and business leaders that the Royal Thai government is committed to ensuring that the devastation caused by such disasters will never happen again," she told reporters in Tokyo during a joint press conference with her Japanese opposite number."

Well it is nice to know she is satisfied..any chance of documented plan ms?

Actual documented plan, strategy and tactics with timeline ?

Thought she was a business woman?..

Planning: =

SMART

Specific

Measurable

Attainable

Realistic

Time related

sigh......

throwing out verbal diarrhea of non committal verbs like expect ,instruct, urge, hope and satisfied don't really cut it lovey...

Ideas start with Concept, and then concept feasibility, prior to any specifics!

Concepts don't exist in Thai thought..... hence failure before objective ideas are even entertained.

Can you imagine the ten Japanese big shots sitting across from PM Yingluck and jibbering and translating? Can you believe that the Japanese take her and the Thai bags of wind seriously about reform and security? Puffing and blustering in a meeting and the Japanese trying to translate that. It's a certainty that the Thais showed little interest, awareness, or knowledge of the current Japanese economic plight. It's a certainty that the Japanese are unwinding their vast Thai manufacturing investments and looking elsewhere and repatriating much of it. The Japanese more than anyone else, are the first to high tail it when there is a concern for security.

"Trip To Revive Investor Confidence With Flood Plan"

Revive?

Seems the patient has passed out cold.

Expired from loss of cold blood maybe?

Ok what have they actually designed for the flood plan?

We hear talk, but they haven't announce more than

different places will get flooded instead,

and dams will be kept partly full.

And a permanent version of FROC.

So what DID she tell the Japanese money lenders that she isn't telling Thailand?

Aw, jeez! ... PM Yingluck did a show in Japan?! ... OMG, I missied it! ... can anyone tell me, what did she wear?!

No reports on how her shopping expedition went either.

I think the Japanese tend to prefer to see women in schoolgirl or maid's uniforms.

No idea, my Thai is only slightly better than my Japanese wink.png
