Engagement Visit Visa - Woman Pregnant

Featured Replies

Hey'up peeps, i'm asking on behalf of a friend, his Mrs is preggers and he wants to take here to the UK to get married on a visit visa and was wondering if they could have the baby there as well, it's not yet definite if thats what they'll do at this stage but he wanted to know, she is currently 6 weeks gone?

Thanks

Bigjimmy

Visitors to the UK cannot receive any free NHS treatment except initial care in an A & E department; all else has to be paid for.

So, she can have her baby in the UK whilst there as a visitor, but only if she does so privately and pays for it.

Should their intention be to settle in the UK, I hope your friend is aware that if he marries his fiance while she is in the UK as a visitor she cannot then apply to remain in the UK, but will have to return home and apply for settlement there.

Ah actually you can have the baby in a nhs hospital but your get charged a scan is approx £270.00, that takes 5 mins

Best your friend marries her in thailand then applies for spouse visa if successful then nhs is free here
