April 27, 201214 yr Just in case anyone is in the process of looking for a gym membership, this may be of interest to you. I have heard horror stories of people buying "lifetime" gym memberships and then it turns out the "lifetime" was the lifetime of the business

Then do not supply the link directly, say it was in the other paper. The rule is there for a reason. I read the above mentioned newspaper everyday, and if I see a story worth putting here then I do it saying it is from "the other paper". Edited April 27, 201214 yr by beano2274

April 27, 201214 yr That statement makes no sense... Of course its for the lifetime of the business. If no gym exists for you to go to where would you like your membership to work. If anyone is surprised that your 300$ membership isnt going to last you the next 30 years is delirious, a business with a model even close to that can never last. Its extremely rare to find a lifetime member ship even being offered at gyms and when it is your basically paying upfront for 10-20years upfront then free after that.

I can't believe people are even bothering to mention it. You'd have to be mentally retarded to expect a gym membership to last past the life of gym. I did take out a lifetime membership at California Wow. It was a calculated risk and I've done well at 3 years so far.
