Just download microsoft security essentials . Its free and very powerful. Other programs like norton will embed on your registy and suck up all the resources as possible from your pc making it slow and crash and crash and crash some more. Before adding any crappy virus program that you may not need clean all your drives. Clean all the temp folders from c drive, windows temp folders, prefetch folders, and all your backup tmp files. That alone will remove any unwanted files. After that install microsoft security essentials or you favorite third party virusprogram that will use 55% of your resources.
