Quality Futons - Available?

I would like to buy an extra thick high quality futon. Preferably filled with cotton batting. Anyone know of a source for such a thing in or near Chiang Mai?

The guy from Bangkok Futon said he delivers to Chiang Mai. I've been considering getting one soon, and apparently delivery and setup is included. Google them for website. Very responsive.

Probably won't find one in CM. That is a western style 布団, fist popularized in the States in the early 80's. Yes, I lived in Japan before and know the difference. I slept on one for more than 10 years. Then I came to my senses.

My Chiang Mai sleep rig is a nice "Lady Americana" brand mattress I got at Home Pro. Still a little too firm. I am running it with one of those Natural Latex toppers often adverstised on this site. So nice! I admit there is nothing more comfy than a real cotton futon, but you have to be in a real Japanese style room with traditional Tatami flooring or it just does not cut it. One needs a certain "give" underneath

that a hard floor or platform cannot provide.

Back in the US, I used to sleep a one just like I pictured. It was on a platform I built that consisted of battens that provided a nice amount of give and air circulation. Very comfortable and much nicer looking than some boxy western style mattress. I want another one. The ones at Bangkok Futon don't look right.
