cost of blood tests depends on what you are testing for. My wife recently had a full blood work up... like everything, liver panels, thyroid, hepatitis panels, etc..... from Dr. Morgan... and cost around 2000 baht, including the doctor fee (200 baht)....

don't know about where to purchase Coumadin, but i have seen that issue discussed here before... perhaps search the forum

I'm not breaking any confidentiality, because hellodolly has frequently said on this forum that he takes Warfarin (same thing). Therefore, I believe he will be along shortly to give you all the details you need, on blood work and cost in Chiang Mai.

I've been here 10 years and have to check pt every month had triple by-pass wife had valve transplant and needs to check every month no matter where you are every major thai gov. hospital and all private run hospitals can do pt you don't have to be Thai citizen to go to Thai gov. hospital and are treated very well and the cost for pt is about 150 baht thats about 5 dollars try that in your country , it's no problem and instead of having to wait a day or two for results they will have it =for you in 2 hrs.

hope this takes away all fear .

O you hurt me to the quick now every one knows. Boo Hoo Hoo.

Actually I rely on Doctor Morgan for just about every thing. So I go there once a month to pick up my Med's and she does a few blood tests. She is not quick about them she has to send them to the hospital across the street from the Holliday Inn for testing.

There is a clinic over on the grounds with Sia Pat Hospital on the university grounds. That tests them for 90 baht and lets you know within two hours. No sure exactly where a friend of mine goes there. He pointed it out to me once I believe it was on the east side of the hospital and just a low building.

But as some one has all ready said any hospital should be able to do it.

I wouldn't trust a Chinese pharmacy for Coumadin, maybe a cheap copy?

Purchase at the Sripat hospital pharmacy on the street coming from the moat. 500 Bht for 100 Tabs. Orion brand Imported from Finland.

Reminds me too, I should go for another INR check!
