ITMan
Honda Wave 110i AT Hi Has anyone got one of these? I am thinking it would make a great 7/11-taxi? Thanks in advance!
taichiplanet
good run-around but prefer the Suzuki Hayate/Yam Nouvo as they have more storage under the seat and fairings to help keep your legs/feet dry. vel_tins
great bike, comfy for bigger people, feels a lot more robust, compared with a Hayate. (Sure it's a WAVE ) 2-2.5 litres per 100 KM. Starts always on the first click, even when it was parked 4 weeks. BUT: as mentioned before, poor storage. You will need a Top-Box. 2008bangkok
Never seen a Honda wave automatic before, click, fino, nouri, air blade but not a wave auto
SumetCycle
Yes, it is a great bike. The under seat storage area is quite small though. However, this year's Wave 110 and 125 manuals offer much more storage.
vel_tins
...this year's Wave 110 and 125 manuals offer much more storage. Nah, not really. Are they available as Automatics? Underseat storage from my Wave Automatic (early 2011): Never seen a Honda wave automatic before.... Not too many on the road, maybe due to the price. Mine was 48K new. And a Wave 110i manual, is/was available for under 40K Edited July 20, 2012 by vel_tins
ITMan
Are they available as Automatics? Yeah, they are, and I have ordered one. 2 weeks to the dealer and 46800 baht on the road. In Phuket it's really the safest option (I'm thinking) as it's not fast, and not high on the theft list.... I hope! I'll post a review/pics on it once it arrives. vel_tins
Yeah, they are, and I have ordered one. 2 weeks to the dealer and 46800 baht on the road 110 or 125 cc?

vel_tins
It's only a 110cc for the automatic. unfortunately, yes... I am thinking about buying a moderate Big-Bore Kit (~140cc) and another Camshaft from *Hispeedpiston* in BKK. All together around 5-6000 Bt. But not sure about adjusting the FI (another Chip/ECU or just increasing fuel pressure?). I don't want to convert it to carb. ITMan
Due to the 'challenging road skills' here in Phuket, I didn't want anything fast. There's a good chance my body could still get identified, should the worst happen!
vel_tins
Just buy one, you won't regret it.
ITMan
Well I bough one, and it's not bad at all. Good points: It's fast enough. 80KMH at a push. It seems to go about 100KM's for 100 baht of gas. It's better than a Click over Phuket's potholes and cracks. Bad points: Underseat storage almost nil. The seat. It's rock hard! It's not a 'cool' bike, but that's why I bought it, neither am I Cheers everyone for the advice.
