Anyone Know This Hotel

Friends have suggested that they book us into a Chiang Mai hotel with the name "Cempara puanp pawan"

As their english is not so good I am not certain they have got the name right as extensive searching cannot find anything anything like that.they say its not far from the night market.

Any locals have any idea what the correct name could be.

Thank you

Agree with Mr. Mambo. That would have to be it. Central to touristy Night Bazaar area making for easy getting out n strolling. Easy enough walk into the center of old city - within the walls - in less than 15 minutes. Or a tuk-tuk in 5.

Sounds right to me except the Night Bazaar is not exactly the night market they can be found in many areas of the city

Lets not be silly. When one goes to see London Bridge, everyone knows they actually mean Tower Bridge. Looking to the Centara, he clearly means the bazaar. Though there's the Sunday market along Racha, when people (tourists and locals) talk the Night Market and Chiang Mai in the same sentence, they typically mean the Night Bazaar 99.9% of the time.

Op, check to see if a deal's on at Le Meridien first. Closer still and makes Centara look like a backpacker pad. whistling.gif

You should get out more at night. There are night markets all over the city. During the day they are one type at night another type.

Le Meridian can be costly they had one room at over 20,000 baht a night. Don't know if they still do. But if money is no problem it could be a nice choice. Not sure if they have a pool and gym. Had Christmas Diner there. It was really good. The one down side to it was they did not have any cranberry sauce to go with it. But they did have Mint Jelly and it was good with the Turkey.
