Football In Nonthaburi

Every Tuesday, a few Westerners get together to play this magnificent game in Pakkret, Nonthaburi from 5.30pm - 7pm.

Anyone is welcome to join us, it's only a kick about with ages atm from 29-50 sweating about like idiots.

All played in the best spirit, so if you want to show your silky skills or just come say hi and sweat abit any age and any level is welcome.

If you have never played football before you're also welcome, we don't mind one bit.

The place has good facilities and lush hot high-pressured shower units. Some of us go for a beer after, but you dont have to join us for that though if you dont want.

Il wondered what had happened to Daley Thompson after he hung up his vaulting pole, javelin and running spikes.

Good luck with setting up a kickabout in Nonthaburi. It's better than it used to be, but there's still a lack of grass roots level football played in this huge metropolis. Some of the more modern futsal pitches are pretty good though, despite being a bit pricey for local youngsters.

You might have to change to water polo in a few weeks when the flooding arrives, although Pakkret got off lightly compared to other areas of Nonthaburi (west of the river) last year.
