Samui Coconut
Oh come on, is this a joke or what? 5% discount on Thai's over 60 or disabled ? So the Baht 8,000 flight costs only 7,600 ? Why not give at least 10% for all 80 year olds and above (Thai and farrang) which are accompanied by their parents..........
Theo007
Air India offers a good discount to ALL seniors on domestic flights, all one needs to do is send a copy of one's passport when making the booking. Naturally here it is only for Thais.
Mole
5%... I can see the rush of old and disabled people on PG flights... Like it'll make any difference to the already expensive fares.
PattayaPhom
Well its something for the elders or disadvantage through disability, I believe the BTS started something similar earlier this year....lets not forget, many councils in the UK are withdrawing free bus passes etc for OAPs so its to be applauded that the Thai government/Private companies are doing something albeit 5%. Who care what the UK does this is Bkk airways and they are doing nothing for no one this is just another of there publicity stunts. The 5% is off full fare so no discount on any promotion so why would someone unless they have dementia not book a web flex fare for cheaper. itsala
Given the facilities at Samui Airport especially when trying to board a twin prop, it must be a cargo promotion. Ashes and prosthetics in stowage.
notmyself
Given the facilities at Samui Airport especially when trying to board a twin prop, it must be a cargo promotion. Ashes and prosthetics in stowage. I've been flying disabled for more than 5 years and consider Samui airport to be pretty good.

Possibly a web/flex fare dosnt meet their criteria in timing....We all know the Samui route is a rip off and has affected the tourist industry but anything that offers cheaper fares is a move in the right direction.
