Red Shirt activists asked to stay put during political rally

By English News

BANGKOK, Nov 13 – Pheu Thai MP Weng Tochirakarn today called on the public to ignore on a mass rally by the conservative Pitak Siam group at the Royal Plaza on Nov 24.

He said the planned rally, spearheaded by Gen Boonlert Kaewprasit, is not unusual and in accord with the constitution, but demonstrators should avoid any action that will obstruct the legislative body from performing their duty in the House of Representatives--especially the no-confidence debate against the prime minister and some members of the cabinet Nov 25-27 and a Senate meeting on Nov 28.

Such a move will violate Section 113 of the Criminal Code, he said, which states that violators are liable to life imprisonment or execution.

Dr Weng, a dedicated Red-shirt activist, said he will ask supporter Sa-ngiem Samranrat to not organise a rally at Government House to avoid a confrontation which may escalate to political chaos. (MCOT online news)

What is it with Thailand?

Seriously!

The PAD has to "let" their members take part in the rally...the Reds have to be told to "stay put"....what the h*ll is going on?

Can't anyone use their own brain?

...oh....sorry! whistling.gif

I hope Jatuporn says a lot, because isn't he forbidden to speak of such things as part of his bail conditions.

Perhaps they should listen to Weng's words.

Better still they could follow his actions and find some hospitals to invade. They'd need some thugs with guns to do it properly of course.

Seems the PTP is being very carefull not to do anything that could encourage a coup

What a crock ... "avoid any action that will obstruct the legislative body from performing their duty in the House of Representatives". They haven't performed as yet so how is that going to change? Perhaps we should try to see how we indict the legislative body for being in breach of Section 113 of the code and get the Execution Order for them?

Apart from relating to a few PAD leaders I think that the House maybe emptied of Pheu Thai party list MPs and UDD leaders as well. And a few hundred lowly cannonfodder of all colours of course. Luckily Dept. PM Pol. Captain Chalerm is pushing for a more rapid execution of the 'ultimate penalty'. Without that prisons might unduly fill up

Always believe the opposite to what they say.. you bet your bottom dollar they will be red shirts there causing trouble.. just u watch

Oh man...yeah...sure there will be no trouble from the yellow-side. They just have good food and music, like in the good old days at Suvarnabhumi!

just u watch!

Will we EVER have people on this forum that will not have their lives painted black & white and ONLY black & white (sorry...red & yellow...aaaaah...mai pen rai!)???

Here comes the dreamt of 4th Reich.

Aryans came from India and so did Buddhism. The latter is not in any way adhered to in Thailand. Drugs, alcohol, meat, greed do not make a Buddhist country.

They do, however love adolf's views on those who oppose, and have aped his rise to power.

Red shirts, brown shirts, 2 guys with wigs, and buddhists ain't meant to have anything on their heads so what's with the <deleted> hair- pieces. The country for me and my family is obviously being said.

Rivers of blood are coming.,

No big deal, he'll just get a suspended sentence ... AGAIN!

All it would take to keep the reds at home is for Weng to say "no 500 Baht to attend". There wouldn't a one of them show up.

Except the ones who misheard/misunderstood the message :D

Thank you for reminding us of the justified red shirt actions.

When the Pitak Siam group have won an election ( which is pretty unlikely ) and if such election is effectively annulled, I wonder how they would react ???

Love your choice of videos and pictures in general, your library and resources are to be envied.

Justified? So the government go to parliament to elect a new PM and lose, and it's justified for their supporters to protest and then kill authorities?? blink.png
