If you have all the proper papers from your company, which location are you more likely to get the better visa at? As I'm sure people here have encountered, and as many people I work with will testify, what you register for at the consulate or embassy and what you get can be two different things in business visa world. A one year multiple entry would be spot on, but most people I know have received 90 day single entry using Hong Kong. My mates who try back home in their countries have gotten one year multiples with no issues. Malaysia isn't my home country, but I can choose between KL and Penang and I'll be there soon, so which one do you suppose will be "easier" and grant the better business visa?

I searched the the archives, but a dearth of info on comparisons and the difficulty of searching for the term "KL" (mySQL fulltext index doesn't support searches under 4 chars) has made it difficult. Cheers and thanks for any help!

Both will issue just a 90 day business visa.

Unless you have a work permit...

In both cities with a work permit you can get a one year multi entry visa.
