Armed ... paw enforcer

Michael Fresco

newsjsBANGKOK: -- COPS in Thailand have added some Magnum Force to their squad by issuing a LABRADOR with a gun.

The paw enforcer is carrying an automatic in a shoulder holster marked “Police K-9”.

While some may think it’s a barking mad idea, it would probably make Harry Callahan’s day.

He could always growl: “I know what you’re thinking... was it five bullets or SIT?”

Well, I pawed (sic) over the Sun article but could not find any information as to where this dog is stationed.

I'm guessing that the K-9 Officer will be heading up a pack to rid the local moo-baans of the dog gangs which are terrorising walking foreigners (as has been reported on Thaivisa).

Guaranteed to take a bite out of crime biggrin.png

On a more serious note, this cannot end well in practice.

What possible use is this?

If i was being attacked by the dog,

I'd let the dog bite my arm, the I'd grab the gun.

I'll need stiches from the dog bite, but i now have a 9mm.

as a previous poster said, I dont know if i should laugh, cry, or whatever

My thought's exactly.. but whats more worrying is they actually think this is good PR !!

Ooooh alright...I know everyone's thinking it so I'll be the first to say it...I feel safer that the dog has the gun than the police man. Badumpump.

Hope thisis never a case of a weapon falling into the wrong paws, now would that not be quite a tail, would dog us for long enough. Sorry, time for my medication
