impulse
On the topic of bird flu, the street vendor I buy fried chicken from told me she has to close down next Monday. I asked her why (she speaks a little English) and she said she doesn't know. It appears the vendors on either side of her will remain open (again, limited conversation due to my stupidity when it comes to Thai). They don't sell chicken. Anyone know if this may be related to bird flu?
PoodMaiDai
It's a good thing the Chinese are not pouring into Thailand currently, because that could end up being a problem if some of them are infected with bird flu. I flew into Manila years ago when the bird flu was first causing a panic, they had detectors there as you walked by that read your temperature to make sure no one was sick coming into the country. I can't imagine Thailand would ever do such a thing. Zero planning for anything, why start now?
