Thai at Heart
^30 Thai at Heart As by law, international rules, etc., etc., the remaining 20% of the visible package will be used to clearly identify in latin based script the country of origin with possibly pictures of well known Thai cultural buildings and landmarks (like Wat Arun, the Pheah Vihear temple or similar) They would do better to come up with a brand called patpong. It would probably sell, with pink neon packaging. "Smoke u long time." Could be the catch.
attento
A well informed source who wants to remain anonymous has told me that with the current cigarette package covered for more than 80% with internationally acknowledged health warnings, TTM stood a very good chance to further promote this wonderful Thai export article. (here be a sarcasm smiley) 99.999999% of the world has no idea where krungthep is. isn't that an underestimate ?
metisdead
Discussions of illegal activities have been removed. 16) Not to post about gambling, betting, pornography, illegal drugs, fake goods/clothing etc and other activities that are officially illegal in Thailand. Nice. Right, of course the west would never do that !!!! How many people have died since the British marketed cigarettes worldwide... Poor try at Thai bashing.... Brit bashing is so much better, but sadly equally inaccurate, kreteks for example are another S.E.Asian country's contribution to their neighbours' health, and fine Virginia tobaccos are hardly British either ! But it does make sense, for TTM to try to export their finished-product, rather than the raw-tobacco sold overseas by several other Thai companies. If they can find someone who wants to buy them. rfukata
I would think the counterfeit cigarette industry will soon copy TTM's brands and eventually overtake their profits.

Nice. Yes, anti-smoking campaigns here but let other countries sort their problem out as long as money can be made selling to them That is what they say in Columbia and Mexico also.
