Hi

Apologies if this has been covered before but i'm short of time.

I need to get a visa in uk and plan to use hull as i have used them before and pleased with the service. I plan to stay for at least 3 months possibly longer. What i need clarifying is to do with when a multiple entry visa is used. I have not used this visa before. Obviously i can use a tourist visa for 2 months and then extend for 1 month to get 3 in total. To get a new visa after that i'd have to leave and get a new visa (normally been to Laos).

My question is if you have a multiple entry visa does that mean you only have to go to the border, exit the Thai border gate then re-enter back into Thailand or do you have to actually still go across (Laos for example), meaning you have to get/pay for a Laos visa. If you don't have a new Thai visa you have to go to Vientiane or Savannaket with the costs/time this entails. Does the multiple entry visa entry visa mean you avoid these extra steps?

Can someone break down the steps necessary to achieve this please.

With the single tourist visa at 25 pounds and double at 50 the double would be worth it to me if it cuts out these extra stages/expense.

Many thanks

They aren't listed as single and multiple, you request the number of entries desired, single, double or triple. When you exit, you must get stamped into another country, so yes, that would require a visa. If you aren't interested in other countries, just get a double entry. You will stamped permitted to stay 60 days, elgible to be extended 30 days for 1900 Baht. After the first stay is complete, simply exit and re-enter for the second 60 days. Just be sure to make the second entry while the visa is still valid, usually 6 months from issue date for a double entry.

Leaving Thailand, entering and leaving a third country before returning to Thaiand is always required, unless by air. (At airorts exit stamps from other countries are not checked).
