You could look at the DownUnder Pub/Bar....its by or near the Iron bridge and not far from the Riverside. Stu is a nice guy and they have several big screens for all types of sports.

Its at the river end of Loi Kroh road.

Around 100 meters give or take before you get to the iron bridge. Never been in there but walk by it often and the clientele will often say hello as I go by, Seems to be a right friendly place.

Yep another vote for the Downunder Bar. Friendly staff, nice and roomy, upcoming sports usually written outside on a whiteboard.

Riverside is a fairly loud, often packed, eatery with music (and attracts a lot of youngster) - certainly not the place for a chat and to watch TV (they do have a quitter part across the road though - if its not raining).

Got Nicks Place on Soi 2 also - nice people, sport on the TV, fair number of expats.

I agree on Archer's Sunday Roast. Their English breakfast is also one of the best in town and the price is right.

O K is archers walking distance from night bazaar?

If you are fit and have the time,...otherwise its a bit of a hike.

easy to find; you can go up the sunday walking st market road as far as the yamaha/wawee crossroads and turn right OR you can go up Ratcha past the UN irish/CM saloon to the zoe crossraods and turn left.

about 200m from whichever end you want to go from.

archers is the best sunday roast in cnx,get there early though, they do run out sometime late afternoon ,beef, lamb,or pork.need to be hungry to finish it,chiang mai saloon 2 has a wide choice of tvs showing the latest sport.

The Downunder isn't great for food. Burgers and stuff at best. But great for Sport, including streaming if it's not on the box.

For Sunday Roasts, you raise a good point now that Pedr's legged it. Maybe O'Malley's in Anusarn? Anyone?

Added: Might be able to kill all your birds with one stone, so to speak:

Last time I ate in O'Malleys, it was pants and the toilet smelled bad.

People tend to keep quiet about the place, but you could always have a pint in the Red Lion (just across Night Bazaar rd, here: 18.784013,99.00067), though not sure he does a roast.

Or escape town and get up to the Pub on the mountain road (Huay Kaew, about here: 18.801564,98.966034).

Wherever you decide, anywhere will be a hit after Songkhla. wink.png

From the Night Bazar just going to the River.

Past the Demolished Downtown Inn Hotel.

Can not miss the old Hotel is has a shiny iron fence around it on the corner.

Then about 100 years on the right can not miss the DownUnder Pub/Bar
