Jack Golf (Suk 12), 2,000 baht.

Another similar trip (but much cheaper) is to take the casino bus from Rama 4 (opp HSBC bank).

100 baht each way.

Posted

Jack's the biggest with daily two buses.

Fineday comes next with one bus.

ThaiVisaService is a very good value trip, use VIP Van.

They all go to Ban Laem and offer hasslefree service.

Avoid EastmeetWest, they still go to PoiPet and it takes ages to come back to Thailand .

VIPBus , never made it.Webside is 2 years old , no one pick's up phone.

More correct: Jack goes to Poi Pet weekdays, to Ban Laem on weekends. Every day except monday 5.30 and 7.00 am. Mondays only 7:00 am

ive always used jack golf. i like them. their staff are all very lovely. the service is good.

and the mashed spuds at the casino arent too bad either!

Over the last 9 month I have used 4 companies.

I did not like the early bus of Jack, a bit worn out,we also went to Ban Laem , so I'm not sure where they go now .

The 7.00am bus is much better and goes to Ban Laem.

Fineday offer same typ of bus VIP,Doubledecker.

Staff is friendly as well.

Slight disadvantage is that they do not use expressway when coming back, so a bit slow.

Since I live near OnNut I prefer ThaiVisaService as they leave @08.00am and are back 5PM, they use Expressway so after a long day they are not bothered by BKK traffic.

Hello Lung ,

have done the trip as well, but PoiPet is a very ugly place and the price you mentioned only experienced traveller will get.

You also forgot to include the taxi fee to n from busterminal in Aran.

At the border the min you pay is THB 1000.- , but you will be ask for more.

The VisaRun run companies exist because they take care of all the paperwork and nowadays they go to a hasslefree place where you are not bothered.

The cost of THB 1,800.- to 2000.- seems very fair to me.

Not sure I agree with this. I've done the trip a few times before, never much hassle which was surprising since I heard it a nightmare visa run before. I go from Ekamai bus station, swap buses at Sakaew which takes you right to the border. I also heard thats its quicker than going from Mochit, but never gone direct from Mochit so couldn't comment. I get the 11.45am bus and make the border always in plenty of time.

I suppose including metro/bts cost to Ekamai all told about 1500 baht. Rather than take a public bus back from the border I find it better to jump on one of the tour buses otherwise I end up back at Mochit which is a bit of a pain sometimes if traffic is heavy.

I wrote an article on it just a few days ago for my website, but since its my website I'm not allowed to put the link here so you'll all spared reading it. :o:D

As said, the casino bus from Rama 4 is great value. THB 100 (including a drink and lunch).

3 hours from Bangkok to the border. Saves taxi/moto from Aran to Poi Pet too!

That's because the op is on hold until the owner gets back to Thailand. :o

had the same problem with fineday webside , they cater mainly to Korean's and Japs , service is OK, only drawback is they use Rama 9 and Asoke to come back to Sukhumvit.

2 more Visa Run Companies found, www.finedaytour.com and www.thaivisarun.com

There’s never been a best visa run company in Bangkok, the only difference is their departure time.

I have been with finedaytour.com, ‘cause they leave as early as 4:45, make sure I can come back at noon.

I have been with thaivisarun.com, they leave the latest, and you can have a good sleep before catch the bus. There are also a few other companies leaving the time between them, they are good though, up to you what time would you like to go? And what time would you like to be back?

share the opinion of Lynnx and you can consider the 4 companies as reliable.

JG,Fineday,Thaivisarun and Thaivisaservice.

ThaiVisaService is a bit cheaper @ THB 1800.- , the others are still good value @ THB 2000.-.

JG leave 05.30 am and 07.00am from Suk Soi 12.

Fineday leaves 04.45am amd 06.20am from Asoke.

ThaiVisaRun leaves now 09.30am from Ekamai.

ThaiVisaService leaves 08.00am from OnNut via Expressway.

But they ,normally, not let Foreigner's board.

They are paid by the Casino to make CasinoRun's and not VisaRun's.

One thing I've learnt from this country, do not take advantage from the locals. If you wanna go cheap, take the public ones. Otherwise there are many visarun services in Bangkok, from 5:00 to 9:30 in the morning.

Is the 1800 - 2100 inclusive the cost of visa ? or do you have to pay extra at the border ?

This is only a run when you still have a touristvisa in your pasport correct.. if you want a new tourist visa you need to go somewhere else ?

Please tell me im cusious about this

You do not get a ThaiVisa at the border.

You can extend yr double or multiple Entry visa or , if you a from a qualified country you get 30day's visa free time in Thailand.

The cost of THB 1800.--2100.- include the Cambodian Visa,Transport,Lunch.

Why do you appear to be obsessed with visa bus companies?

Financial? :o

I've only ever used Jack Golf.

Never had a problem, they are the most experienced..... run by a Korean. :o

done jack's golf visa runs a few times. a few minor problems (one bus broke down, one flat tire).

you don't generally need a reservation but i recommend getting there an hour early. key word: recommend. i tend to get there just before the bus leaves. once i even missed the bus and they shuttled me to the bus in a van full of korean tourists (golfers).

if i have a choice (and time) i'd prefer to fly somewhere on a visa run. people to visit, places to see. however, if you insist on subjecting yourself to the unique form of torture that is the visa run by bus from bkk, jack's golf are good people, and a good service.

but it leaves too early, I prefer the other service at Sukhumvit 63, depart 0930. when the world cup is on in June, I was wondering how many people could get up that early for the visarun?

If so I would recommend one company only.

For the benefit of all readers I mentioned the 4 companies I have used myself in the past and from which you can expect a smooth Run.
