I had some work done on my motorbike today and was very pleased with the total - only 150 baht! I couldn't get anyone to fill the tires with air for that price anywhere else.

But I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me what they did according to the bill. I know they had it opened up and did something with the starter, but don't know what, and my mechanical knowledge is about the level of filling the tires with air!

Anyone help out?

Thanks, guys. No matter the handwriting, I've got no chance anyway.

I think maybe he stripped the starter right down and cleaned it out, maybe even "rebuilding" it? At least I think it was the starter I saw him taking apart, dipping pieces in gasoline (?) and even took one circular tubelike piece over to what might have been a lathe.

Took him over an hour, so I've no complaints. Just kinda wondering what he did do.

Thanks for your help.

From the Royal Institute website:

"stroke; cerebrovascular accident (CVA); syndrome, stroke

These technical terms coined in Thai by the Royal Institute can be searched and found by category at http://rirs3.royin.go.th/coinages/webcoinage.php .
