Extending marriage visa, single or multiple

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm from the UK, I entered Thailand in November 2012 on a 3 month marriage visa, which I then extended to one year single entry for 1900Bt at the Immigration office, I was wondering if anybody knows how many days I would be permitted to go out of the country for, I already know that I would be permitted to leave on one occasion But I don't know for how many days this we be.

Also If I was to get a multiple entry when this visa expires, how many times can you exit the country and for a maximum of how many days.

regards.

At the moment if you left the country your extension would finish.

You would only get 30 days when returning.

Unless you have a Re Entry Permit.

1,000 Baht for a single and 3,800 baht for a multiple.

The permit is valid for the length of your permission to stay.

You would be able to stay out of the country as long as you wanted provided your permission to stay was still valid when you return.

It is not a visa it is an extension of stay with a single re-entry permit.

There is is no limit on how long you can be out of the country other than he date your your extension ends.

A multiple re-entry permit has no limit on the number of entries you can do.

If all you paid was 1900 baht then you do not have a re-entry permit and would loose your permited to stay extension if you leave Thailand and without getting a re-entry permit. You can obtain a re-entry permit at immigration or some airports for 1000 Baht for single entry or 3800 Baht for multi entry.
