Senator-elect Rossana Tositrakul denies breaching campaign rules

Senator-elect Rossana Tositrakul (รสนา โตสิตระกูล) will sue Paruay Chantarasakul (พารวย จันทรสกุล), a Senate election candidate, for falsely accusing her with the Election Commission (EC), in the Criminal Court tomorrow.

Ms. Rossana denied posting her biography on the website of the Thai Health Foundation, where she has served as secretary-general between April 11-14 as accused by Mr. Paruay, who contested the poll in Bangkok.

The law bars candidates for seats in the upper house campaigning for votes.

Ms. Rossana called on the EC to treat her fairly and thoroughly investigate the matter. Poll winners found to have broken election rules can have their victory suspended and be stripped of their election rights for 5 years.
