Ricardo
'They' have been putting-in a major new blue-plastic pipeline, perhaps 80cm-100cm diameter, buried along Route-1001 South of Mae-Jo to the 3rd-ring-road junction, for the past month. Not sure if this is part of the new Mae-Ngat-Dam to Doi-Saket link, to boost supplies, for Chiang Mai city's main source ?
ataloss
^ Let’s hope so. City supplies are dwindling and/or the pumps/filtration/holding towers are insufficient despite the recent new tower and larger city water pipes behind the water authority near Lotus Kamtieng. Water begins to trickle when the students return to their flats in any of dozens of new apartment buildings stretching behind and beyond Lanna Hospital/Lotus Kamtieng . Mind you that's in the hot season. During the winter months the water supply is fine: possibly students cannot handle the cold showers. Apart from an extreme crash like the one highlighted, electrical supplies seem to go off for 15 to 60 minutes at the start of each rain storm - beats me, why....
