PeterPanSpeedRock
Hey guys, I am in need of some help. I visit the forum here regularly for I formation but have not found a fitting answer to my current problem. I am currently holding a single entry ED visa, about to expire. I have obtained this visa for studying at A university in Thailand but I have finished this study. I am however still a student (in my home country) and now looking for an internship. I am about to start that internship but need an ED visa for this. My problem is that I have no idea on how to extend my current, soon to expire ED visa. Do I need to go abroad?, can I do it in Thailand? What document do I need? Normally I would just ask the uni for paperwork and I would extend it in Bangkok but does this work with a company Too? I was thinking to do a run, change to tourist and apply later for ED again (if needed) but now I would like to extend my current one as a company has approached me to be accepted as an intern but lost on how to do so. Please share your knowledge, it's truly appreciated!!
ubonjoe
Unless you are doing an internship with a university there is no way to get an extension. If company can provide the documentation you could possibly get a work permit and a multiple entry B visa.
PeterPanSpeedRock
UbonJoe, thank you for your quick reply, I am still a student only no longer at a university in Thailand but in my home country, the Netherlands. ubonjoe
It has to be a university here.
Sceptict11
Unless the Dutch University has arranged the "internship" in conjunction with the Company as a legitimate part of the University course I suspect an ED visa will not be available.
