Visa's and Extension

Featured Replies

We've just come back from Thailand and are now looking to move out there with our 2 dogs. We're looking for any information on Visa times and extensions in which you can stay in Country for, and how easy it is to reapply for visa's once out there. Not looking to return back to the UK. Can anyone give us any information, thanks.

And what visas do you think you would qualify for? If you aren't working or running a business, related to a Thai, or 50 years old, the only visas you would qualify for are Tourist Visas. 60 days each entry and can be extended 30 days within Thailand. In the region, a double entry is probably the best you can hope for.

A lot of good information to be found in the Pinned Topics Section at the top of this forum, or by using the search function.

This is why i'm asking questions to find the correct information. We've been offered a triple entry from the Consulate in Hull but they where quite vague in the info that they did give us. Can a Visa be renewed in Thailand? How hard is it to register your own company in Thailand to then apply for Visa B.

Are there any loop holes within the system to allow us to constantly stay in country on a tourist visa?

Thanks for the info?

The triple entry is about the best under your present circumstances, as per above, each entry is for 60 days and each entry can be extended for 30 days within Thailand for 1900 Baht. Just need to make the last entry while the visa is still valid. There are no loopholes, but some people manage to get other Tourist Visas within the region and stay for extended periods before encountering problems at the surrounding Consulates. Again, this information is clearly written in the Pinned Topics.

An Education Visa may be another alternative, those can be obtained for studying Thai language, etc.

It's isn't difficult to register a company, but be aware of the requirement of Thai share holders, capitalization, etc.

No, you do not get, or renew a visa in Thailand, but if you meet certain conditions, you can apply for a one year extension of permission to stay.

The purpose of your long-term stay in Thailand is an important factor (tourism, studying, employment, etc), as well as the age of the persons included in "we" and their relationship to each other (husband and wife, parents and children, etc)

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
