Thailand- Connecting Flight

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a connecting flight at Suvarnabhumi Airport from Singapore. So I take a Tiger Air flight from Singapore, which reaches Suvarnabhumi by 9pm and again I have a connecting flight to Manila by 11.30 by Philipines Airlines.

I am an Indian, so do I need to remove a Thai Visa for boarding the another flight, or can I wait at the airport by just passing the terminal.

Also, if I dont need the Visa, where will my luggage be deposited, is it after the immigration or before.

Thanks...

Unless you your baggage is checked through to you next flight you will have to clear immigration and collect it and check in again a the ticket counter. You need to check with the airline to see if this can be done. In order to transit through the airport you need a boarding pass for your next flight.

I suspect that since Tiger Air is a low cost carrier you will have to collect your baggage and check in for your connecting flight meaning you will need to get a visa on arrival. You will need a photo. fill out a form and pay 1000 baht to get it.

I don't think you will be a able to do all this in the 2.5 hours you will have.

Per above. Check with the airline (Tiger Air) if they can check you through to the Philipinnes. (probably not). If they can't, your schedule is very, very tight.

The OP doesn't state when he will be making these flights, but, if there was still sufficient time, could he not obtain the necessary visa in advance from the Thai Embassy in Singapore, which would hopefully save time for him upon arrival at Suvarnabhumi?

That said, it is not clear to me whether his statement "remove a Thai Visa for boarding the another flight" means that he already has some sort of visa in any event??

I assume "take' to mean obtain and such.

Unless he is a resident of Singapore he would not be able to get a visa in Singapore.

Out of curiosity I just checked PAL flights and there is one at 23:30 (11:30).
