Hotel in Savannakhet (nr Consulate or river) with in-room good wifi - info req please

Featured Replies

HI,

Need to go on a visa run on the the 9th-13th March to Savannhaket - Tried the the recommended Leena (or something like that!) but fully booked

Stayed at Savan Vegas before - ok but a bit far from town and a bit weird (from a non gambling perspective)

All the rest look a bit <deleted>, does anyone have any recommendations for half decent places near the consulate (or near town riverside) that are secure, not too skanky and have decent wifi in room?

All recommendations, websites, telephone no's etc much appreciated - Agoda looks a bit sparce

Cheers

When we go to Savaan, we stay at the Daosavanh Resort/Spa. Rooms are clean and decent food and friendly staff. Last time we asked for a river "view" room, and while the view was mostly parking lot (ground floor) my phone was able to pick up the signal from across the river in Thailand and I tethered it and used it for my wifi. Just a suggestion.

This town is really a shithole,no need to try to go anywhere else but vegas.

Leena is ok but too cheap style.

The wifi is very good and for those who like satellite a good choice of channels for chilling in the afternoon.oh and if you require a one year visa o based on marriage arrived at the. Thai consulate 0910 was at the hotel by 0930. As we say it was easy peasy!!!!!!!,
