Popular Post Ricardo
In an area where there are bombings/grenades-thrown almost nightly, it takes the police & EOD-team an hour, to arrive at the scene ?
Popular Post Tatsujin
Is it coincidence that the increase in grenade attacks comes after the UDD vowed to "deal with" the protestors?
Popular Post tomross46
There is no such a thing as a M79 grenade! It is a grenade fired from a M79 shoulder fired launcher. The press is only printing what they are told by the police. It is very apparent that the police do not know what they are talking about. The grenade fired by a M79, is a 40 MM projectile. There are fragmentation, smoke, white phosphorescence, shot gun canister, illumination and others. None of them have a military designation of M79.

I don't remember the exact official military nomenclature, but we all knew it as simply "the M-79". As in,, "lob a couple of M-79 rounds in there to see what happens". Sometimes when you did that all h_ll broke loose. Fortunately these dudes are not well trained at using it (judging from their results) or just harassing people. siampolee
Seems as if it's a calculated act to ensure that any conflagration and resultant explosions are maximized to achieve horrendous results. Similar tactics as before by the Red Shirts by than parking L.P.G. and natural gas tankers outside apartment and as such endangering innocent lives. The then police farce force did nothing, as a result of the police farce force inaction the locals acted very efficiently in removing the danger in a very rapid and emphatic manner and Red Shirt members were indeed vanquished quickly. Bangmod
Now they are pissing me off. Why are they starting to attack Royal Dutch and Anglo Shell?? What have we done to those redshirts that they are attacking our petrol stations??? Should be retaliate by cutting boxes of their rice on our supermarket shelves??? No because it were probably not the farmers who did this, they are still waiting to get paid by the end of this week as promised by the PM of Lalaland

But don't you suppose that the police EOD people really know this? Can't this just be an easy way of explaining to the public, who don't know and don't care, the general kind of explosive used versus a technical explanation?
